Modern Education is focused on Educational Programs, students' and schools' rates. As fact, the main subject is missing. Our students are leaving school/university without any confidence about life itself. Parents want their kids to be socialized and be adopted for life - so they send children to school. As for the school, it says "We have no time to look after each student, this is what parents must do". I think instead of blaming each other it's better to make new project and see the results after. I'm pretty sure we can change educational focus for great results if to do it professionally, otherwise students do not need to spend 10 years at school.
I like very much the example of Zebra Life Structure given from the prophet Muhammad (saws):
It is reported that 'Abdullah (bin Mas'ud) said, "The prophet (saws) draw a rectangle, (then) he drew in the middle of (its) line that extends beyond it (the limits), he drew (more) small lines (reaching) to that one (line) which was in the middle, and then he said: "This is - a man; what surrounds it (or: what surrounded him) is his time; what goes beyond the (rectangle) is his hopes, and these little dashes - are the vicissitudes of fate (which he gets) and if one passes by, the other grabs him by its teeth, if the (second) passes then the first grabs by its teeth. '" (Sahih Bukhari - Book easing (hearts) - On the (too) high expectations. Hadith №1999.)
