What our school did not teach us.

  My vision of  projects for students is based on versatility. I believe that every student is a virgin diamond, and the correct education helps to reveal his every facet for versatility's brilliance.

What is taught in school, we all remember well. 

But there is a vast number of important things that our children do not learn at school and in the family (and later in their own). For example:

 

· Build relationships with loved ones, to organize life, to create a strong family;

 

· Consciously care about the health, to cook and to choose healthy food, to do regular exercises to strengthen the body;

 

· Improve immunity by simple natural methods;

 

· To cope with stress, with small and big trouble;

 

· The ability to set and achieve goals on their own;

 

· To recognize and implement their own talents, aspirations, desires;

 

· The ability to communicate qualitatively with other people, so that it will benefit all parties;

 

· Competently resolve conflicts ...

 

The list is endless.

 

I do not blame school. All those people, who teach our children, deserve many thanks and respect. It's just such a reminder for us - teachers and parents :)

We have not only to rate students' points, but also to consider much more meaningful things.

 

You will agree - now we, as adults, we have to fill the gaps in many of the really important areas of knowledge, which we missed in childhood for various reasons. Modern life is very short-lived. In the flow of information, people are choking on the requirements for new skills. Teachers do not have time to convey to students that base, which has the correct approach to life. Many people call it a System. As for me, I believe that fundamental changes are needed. Now it is difficult to be a teacher and, at the same time, to strive for the best result. Now students need a teacher-coach or teachers of 21st Century. 

 

There are people who do not share this point - teacher must be mentor by all means. May be. But let us remember that every child, even problem child, is a human. By the way, problem child needs more understanding from teacher. 

 

"It's hard to imagine anything else, which disfigures the child's soul more than the emotional thick skin, which is generated by injustice. Feeling indifferent to himself, the child loses sensitivity to distinguish the good and the evil. He can not understand what is good and what is bad in people around him. His heart is occupied by suspicion, lack of confidence in people, and this is the biggest source of anger."

I am all for success, literacy, perseverance, and discipline, but I want you to imagine that schools could, without compromising either, teach both the skills of well-being and the skills of achievement. 21st Century Education should offer resilience-building face-to-face programs for students, staff and parents. While such teachers value working with students, I believe best outcomes are reached when all people from all three groups are actively committed to the key learning outcomes of our programs and able to ‘speak the same language.’

 

That is why I believe we need coaching at schools. Coaching - it is the best way out for everybody. Because the coach does not do anything children and students do not like: 

 

• does not teach to live; 

• does not impose own decision; 

• does not criticize; 

• does not command; 

• does not read long lecture. 

 

Instead, what the coach is doing, on the contrary, students accept with gratitude: 

 

• teacher-coach has a genuine curiosity about their goals, interests, values; 

• teacher-coach helps to find their own solutions; 

• teacher-coach gives the feel: "I am for you. I'm on your side." 

• teacher-coach helps students to see and feel their own value; 

• teacher-coach believes that students are all right and sees them "big".

How coaching changes students?

 

Psychologist looks back, and the coach is looking forward.

When a student begins to cooperate with a teacher-coach, he becomes conscious, purposeful, energetic, ambitious, efficient, disciplined and optimistic. However, the elements of unobtrusive coaching "in between times" will develop students in this direction. Students will have more faith in their own strength, creative approaches to difficult situations, learn how to take a lesson from mistakes and not drive themselves into guilt, students will be able to negotiate. As for teacher-coach, he masters the philosophy of coaching, becomes aware of, and such teacher develops the habit of seeing the solution of the problem instead of problem itself, focused on finding resources for that, not on what is missing. Teacher-coach can really take the wants and needs of the students for successful education (sees new opportunities and thinks more clearly).

 

Coaching via different projects and activities helps children: 

 

• to solve problems with their studies; 

• to cooperate where before it were constant conflicts; 

• to overcome fear; 

• to learn a skill that is hard to obtain; 

• to make their own good decisions

 

Many projects are for indoors and can be hold in Art Studio, Project Hall and in the classrooms. Other projects are for outside activities and depend on the weather and season.

 

These programs are sensational. Vital topics are introduced in humorous and engaging ways.
Improvement Care Education is an absolute must for schools.
